Weekend Writers' Workshops are "intensives" which run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on either a Saturday or Sunday. Writers from all levels of experiences and all genres are invited. You need bring no manuscripts with you; all writing is done during the intensive workshop session. We will write four or five times during the day in response to exercises that Vanessa Blakeslee, the facilitator suggests. We are invited to read aloud what we have just written and to respond to each other's work with what is working (what we like, what we remember, what moves us). Workshop size is limited. Payment in full is required upon registration and includes breakfast, lunch and late afternoon refreshments.

Note: All workshops are on hiatus while
Vanessa completes her novel. Stay tuned!

Writing became such a process of discovery that I couldn't wait to get to work in the morning: I wanted to know what I was going to say. ~Sharon O'Brien
